Concept and reason for creating the product
After the successful launching of our A.Brolly Tube, we want to make a new umbrella with all the cutting-edge technologies and for the whole family, and the product we came up with is this: A.Brolly Stonehenge.
Engineering and design
A.Brolly Stonehenge is equipped with a number of patented high-tech functionalities. Firstly, we apply our AquaRepel technology on its fabric, making it extra water repellent and you can get rid of the water on the canopy with one fling motion.
Have you ever experienced walking along a crowded walkway with an umbrella? It causes you to twist and turn your umbrella constantly. Our Vortex technology allows the canopy to spin around with opposing forces so you can simply walk through without having to reposition your umbrella all the time.
We also embedded the Anti-Blaster technology into the shaft of the umbrella makes the umbrella easier to close than ever. No more struggling to close the umbrella. The addition of the self-locking shaft ensures that the umbrella would not shoot open as the self-locking shaft gently controls the closing of the umbrella for the user.
A.Brolly Stonehenge is designed to have a super large canopy size of 122cm diameter when opened, enough to fully cover 2 people shoulder by shoulder. It helps you to protect your family members without getting wet under heavy rain.

In addition, we just added a carabiner which allows you to hook your A.Brolly Stonehenge on your backpack, briefcase or shopping bag to free up your hands as well as space required to carry the umbrella. While a carabiner is sold for around US$7 to US$10 outside, you get one here without extra costs!

and there is more...
We are producing over 600 billion pounds (275 million tonnes) of garbage each year. Approximately 17 billion pounds (8 million tons) are plastic waste which is destined for landfills or ends up into the oceans of the world causing untold environmental damage.

Furthermore, we are also exhausting the world’s precious water resources. For example, dyeing mills use on average 3.15 million liters of water per day. This is enough water for 16,000 people per day. According to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), there is already not enough water for all uses. When annual per capita renewable freshwater availability is below 1,000 cubic meters, it will begin to hamper economic development as well as human health and well-being.

A.Brolly wants to take part in the solution but not the problem. Therefore, we are using the most advanced dyeing technologies with our recycled fabric made of recycled PET bottles to minimize any impact to the environment.

We employ the cutting-edge AquaOff® technology to completely eliminate water use in the dyeing process of the fabric. Assembly of the umbrella is carried out in our factory which covers the title of the most environmentally progressive umbrella factory in the world. Every aspect of production and all machinery are set up so that the least amount of energy as possible is used in the assembly of the umbrella. This makes the A.Brolly Stonehenge the most environmentally focused umbrella in the world!

Quality
Approximately 18 million pieces of umbrellas are sent to landfill each year. Our goal is to be part of the Solution and not the problem and hence why the Stonehenge umbrella in addition to its environmental credentials is made from the very best umbrella frames so it will stand the test of time and be around for many years to come.

Patents
With decades of experiences in making umbrellas, A.Brolly is highly advanced in terms of umbrella making technologies and is one of the very few manufacturers that own multiple umbrella patents worldwide. The Vortex and Anti-Blaster technologies used in the A.Brolly Stonehenge are self-developed and self-owned patents, and it ensures that A.Brolly Stonehenge has unique and exclusive features that are absolutely different from most umbrellas in the market.

Specification

Additional Testing against Wind
Wind Tunnel Testing been a challenge for us due to the lab cost is usually around £20,000~ £30,000 for a day trip. A.Brolly have come up with our own testing method to simulate a wind tunnel testing. Stonehenge is held on a car and drove up to 100km/h. Below is the test result. A.Brolly Stonehenge mange to be functional from the challenge.
